How have you have supported others to develop their practice?

I had a LITE mentor for my project. I mentor members of the Journalism team and also SES staff involved in employability and, in my previous role as UG Tutor, mentored support staff dealing with non-engaged students and also developed greater support mechanisms for those dealing with mental health issues in particular

What are your current student education interests/new developments?

Employability - leader of LITE research project into the impact of the work placement year and study abroad on graduate outcomes(paper submitted) phase two of the project looks at how WEP students and students disengaged with career planning can be supported Employability - lead and disseminate information about the impact of my Media Futures extra-curricular employability talks and workshops TES leader for the School of Media on projects looking at embedding employability in the curriculum TES contributor to various projects looking at how to teach and assess practice-based teaching, using my experience of leading various curriculum reviews to update teaching in line with digital changes in journalism. Member of the Employability Strategy Group and Faculty Education Group and Alumni Good practice group Previously been on working parties looking at Leeds for Life, mentoring first years, and employability strategy core thread group.
