How have you have supported others to develop their practice?

My role in LITE entails overseeing the work of an institution wide network of School Academic Leads for Inclusive Practice so much of my work involves addressing their development needs. This includes, for example, expanding their understanding of digital accessibility, inclusive assessment within their disciplinary contexts, and thinking about how they can be effective leaders in their own roles.

What are your current student education interests/new developments?

I am interested in inclusive learning and teaching so this covers all aspects of accessibility and thinking about inclusive pedagogies. I come at this from the perspective of all minoritised groups of students who may get the sense that the educational environment or curriculum was not designed with people like them in mind. I'm therefore interested in how learning ad teaching practices affect engagement and sense of belonging as well as success more generally. I am particularly interested in inclusive assessment, eliminating systemic inequalities within assessment practices and thinking through how we help students to have agency within the assessment process.
