Within OD&PL (Organisational Development and Professional Learning) the Student Education development team are committed to offering support for colleagues in teaching and learning at all career stages. Whether you are just starting your teaching career in higher education, or you are an experienced practitioner wanting to develop or share your expertise in student education practice, our provision has been designed to help you. Getting started in student education

If you are new to teaching or teaching at Leeds then Foundations in teaching (FiT) aims to provide you with all the essential information to get you started​.

Resources and information for the continued development of your teaching practice. These range from useful refreshers to targeted areas for development providing support whatever your level of experience.

TIPS and networks in student education

Sharing experiences and practice is a key area in your teaching development. Find out about our TIPS community and other networks that can provide peer support in all areas of teaching practice.

Professional recognition and awards

Find out about opportunities to gain recognition for your teaching practice or your work to support learning this includes PRiSE, support for PFHEA, University teaching awards, NFTS and CATE and information about colleagues who have gained teaching fellowships

Postgraduate certificate in academic practice (PGCAP)

The Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice (PGCAP) is a post-induction programme for University of Leeds staff who make a significant contribution to Student Education at Leeds.
