How have you have supported others to develop their practice?

Prior to joining the University of Leeds, I was Deputy Head of Law at Sheffield Hallam University, where I led a large team of academic and practitioner colleagues in the development and implementation of a uniquely applied legal education programme, in which all students at all levels of study gained credit-bearing work experience in an on-campus, teaching law firm, run by full-time, practising solicitors. More generally, I have also: mentored and supported the development of junior academic staff, including through teaching observation and feedback; led strategic projects at school level, incorporating student focus groups and staff training sessions, which have led to the development and enhancement of various aspects of curriculum and pedagogy; participated in university-level working groups, which have reviewed and proposed reforms to institutional student education regulations; and published widely on understanding and maximising “value” within legal education.
