Celebrating excellent practice in student education
Winners of the 2024 University of Leeds Teaching Awards have been announced.
These prestigious accolades recognise the work and innovation of colleagues in delivering high-quality teaching and learning at Leeds. Now in their fourth year, the awards continue to grow, with submissions almost doubling compared to 2023.
Applications were received from across the University, showcasing a wide range of impressive contributions. The panel continues to be incredibly impressed by the level of applications and the impact demonstrated by colleagues. This high standard is reflected in the national recognition many of our winners have gone on to achieve for their teaching.
Awards are given for both individual and collaborative innovation and contribution, and winners will gather for a celebratory event with colleagues in September to officially recognise their success.
Professor Jeff Grabill, Deputy Vice-Chancellor: Student Education, said: “Congratulations to you, the winners of our 2024 University of Leeds Teaching Awards. It’s an honour to share space with such innovative, inspirational educators.
“At Leeds, we’re committed to providing our students with the best learning experience, and that experience must prepare them for their future and empower them to make the difference they want to make in the world. That requires inspiring educators who support students as they explore their passions, articulate their goals and ambitions, and take their first steps to realise them.
“Your work makes the Leeds Curriculum come alive for students, and ensures they are able to engage fully in their course, their future and our world. Thank you for continuing to push the boundaries of what’s possible, for empowering our students to be their best selves, and for everything you do.”
