How have you have supported others to develop their practice?

As part of my role in the Sustainable Curriculum leadership, I have organised and led workshops on how to integrate Education for Sustainable Development pedagogies and sustainability competencies into curricular and extra-curricular activities. These have been in collaboration with LUNSHE, LITE, the SEES T&S group and TIPs, but also externals such as the SDSN network and others. I have also been involved in mentoring student education focused colleagues and education professionals.

What are your current student education interests/new developments?

I am a member of the Sustainable Curriculum Leadership team, enabling students and colleagues to engage with Education for Sustainable Development. The Sustainable Curriculum is a Climate Plan and a Student Education strategy commitment. I am a LITE fellow investigating more inclusive and holistic conceptualisations of sustainability competence definition, articulation and evidencing along with my colleague Clare Jackson from the Sustainability Service. I have an interest in all forms of experiential learning, especially when they enable student and staff sustainability leadership and active citizenship. I have led COIL and global learning initiatives, and I believe in the power of co-creation in enabling effective, meaningful and joyful student education provision.
